About this Project:

Westhaven will be a 92-unit affordable housing development for working and intergenerational families in Columbus, OH. The project involves the rehabilitation of five currently vacant and blighted buildings into high quality one- to four-bedroom apartments. The site will include a community building, designed to specifically meet the needs of the family-centered programming that will be provided to the resident population. The building will also incorporate a laundry room, management and service coordination offices, storage space, a computer room, and a flexible community space.

The Project will provide much-needed affordable housing for families in the area, in particular for intergenerational families (also known as ‘grandfamilies’) – which are families with children that are headed by grandparents or other relatives. Beyond serving the need for housing, Westhaven will connect residents to a broad range of amenities and employment opportunities, including medical facilities, community services, schools, public transportation, groceries, shopping and churches. All programs and services will be made available to all interested residents.
