About this Project:

Walnut Commons is the new construction of 44 units of Permanent Supportive Housing in Muncie, Indiana for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The project also targets disabled veterans.

The development is a 3 story building, and includes a mix of studios and 1-bedroom units. It includes office and clinic space for on-site supportive services staff and on-site property management staff, a common laundry room, a large community room, bike storage, as well as a secured outdoor patio and green spaces.

The City of Muncie is committed to ending homelessness and sees permanent supportive housing as one of the most critical elements to a comprehensive strategy. Working in close partnership with the City of Muncie and our nonprofit partner, Meridian Health Services, our team completed Walnut Commons in May, 2015. It is the first permanent supportive housing project in Delaware County.

Completed May, 2015.
